Kavindra Watson - Kavindra Watson, Interior Designer | REALTOR®
First off, I love my job, I get the opportunity to help others create their dream home. I am a luxury Interior Designer and I specialize in designing custom Kitchens and Bathrooms. I’m also a licensed Texas Realtor. I transitioned into my passion of designing fulltime in 2017 after taking a leap of faith that saw me leaving Corporate America behind. Since then, I have designed over 150 spaces through which I have garnered a wealth of design and construction knowledge.
Prior to becoming a fulltime designer, I worked in corporate technology for 12 years. I married my technical and creative skills to become a Creative Problem Solver. My secret sauce is that I am detailed, precise, process oriented, and a person who loves creating pretty spaces that function well. I consider myself extremely lucky to have found my dream job.
In addition to helping clients tailor their existing homes, as a licensed Realtor, I also help clients who would like to purchase a new home that they intend to customize to meet their needs and desires. I can see the potential of a dated home and work to help clients visualize the possibilities. Afterwards, I walk homeowners through both the purchasing and design process. Think of it as the Texas version of the HGTV show Property Brothers ?.
Creating a customized home is important to me because I am a homebody. So, I fully understand and appreciate the importance of loving the space you’re in. Inside my sanctuary, I am an avid DIYer and one who loves spending time with loved ones. Outside my home, I love travelling, playing tennis, and practicing yoga.
I received my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA. After making the decision to pursue a career in design, I acquired an Applied Science degree in Green Interiors and Architecture Design from Collin College in Frisco, TX. Additionally, I am a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), National Association of Realtors (NAR), and the Texas Association of Realtors (TAR).
